Regulatory, Sports and Professional Discipline
Our specialist team provides advocates in every area of regulatory work acting on behalf of public agencies, organisations, companies and individuals. With work ranging from a KC instructed to prosecute a case involving charges of gross negligence manslaughter arising out of a mining disaster and following an extensive HSE investigation, to representing a company director charged with failing to file company accounts; from representing companies charged with breaching asbestosis regulations to representing nurses charged with misconduct at GMC Tribunal hearings and teachers at Professional Conduct Committees, you can be assured that one of our counsel will be in a position to assist.
Our environmental law case-load includes cases such as Environment Agency v Christopher Morgan (in which David Elias appeared for the defendant in a disputed POCA application in relation to an illegal waste site), the Court of Appeal decision being reported at [2013] EWCA Crim 1307; and Environment Agency v Siteserv Ltd and Phillip England (the successful defence of a company director accused of illegal tipping on farmland).
