Robert Vernon appointed part-time Employment Judge

25 SEPTEMBER 2013

9 Park Place Chambers is pleased to announce that Robert Vernon has been appointed by the Lord Chancellor to the role of Fee Paid Judge of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales).  Robert is one of only 40 appointments to have been announced nationally and has been allocated to sit in the East Midlands Region.  The role will involve Robert sitting as an Employment Judge in that region on around 30 days per year, while continuing his practice from Chambers.  He was called to the Bar in 2000 and has been a member of 9 Park Place Chambers since 2002, where he has since established a strong and varied employment practice.  You can view his full employment law profile here.

Robert will also be speaking at a conference on Wednesday 20th November 2013 at the Park Plaza Hotel, Cardiff, organised by The White Paper Conference Company.  He will be discussing the issue of when an employer can lawfully dismiss an employee who has made repeated and unfounded allegations of discrimination on the grounds of a breakdown in trust and confidence.
