Rachel successfully completed her pupillage and accepted a tenancy with Chambers in September 2018. She accepts instructions in family law matters.
Rachel has experience in private children cases, including fact-finding hearings involving allegations of domestic abuse and injunctive applications. Rachel accepts instructions in care proceedings and has represented parents, Local Authorities and Children’s Guardians.
Rachel is originally from Cardiff and attended Cardiff High School. She went on to study History at the University of Nottingham obtaining a First Class Honours degree before going on to study the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP University Bristol and obtaining a Distinction.
Rachel obtained the Hardwicke Entrance Scholarship and the Lord Denning Scholarship from Lincoln’s Inn which assisted her in completing the Bar Professional Training Course at Cardiff University. Rachel obtained an Outstanding grade on the Bar Professional Training Course and was awarded the Buchanan Prize from Lincoln’s Inn as a result.
Whilst studying on the Bar Professional Training Course Rachel volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Cardiff and prior to joining Chambers she worked as a County Court Advocate.
