A member of the Wales and Chester Circuit, Michael is a family and criminal law barrister. Michael practised at the criminal bar for 16 years, the majority of those as a Grade 4 prosecutor and member of the CPS Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Panel. He was also regularly instructed by the CPS Complex Casework Unit. He also undertook a wide range of regulatory law cases and is recommended as a Leading Junior by Legal 500 2016 as "an expert in licensing matters".
Michael now practices family and specialises in Children Act proceedings, both public and private. He acts for children, parents and local authorities and frequently deals with cases involving allegations of life-threatening non-accidental injury, sexual assault and serious domestic abuse.
Michael was educated at Brynteg Comprehensive School, Bridgend before going on to study at the University of Southampton and Cardiff Law School.
