9 Park Place Chambers is delighted to announce that Matthew Roberts has been appointed King’s Counsel in the new list of appointments published today.

The Lord Chancellor will preside over the appointment ceremony at Westminster Hall on March 23rd. A total of 96 appointments have been made.

Matthew, called in 1994, is a criminal practitioner who specialises in high profile cases, both prosecuting and defending. He is instructed in drugs conspiracies, cases involving serious violence or sexual offences, fraud and computer crime.

His cases often attract media attention and he is consistently highly ranked in the legal directories, being ranked in Band 1 in Chambers UK 2026 and as a Leading Junior by The Legal 500 [2026].
