Recruitment
1. Equal Opportunities

All applications for tenancies, pupillages, or mini-pupillages are considered on the basis of merit alone and without regard to a candidate’s race, colour, ethnic or national origin, citizenship, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, religion, political persuasion or age.
Chambers welcomes and encourages applications from members of minority racial, ethnic or national groupings and from persons with a disability. It will be pleased to make all reasonable adjustments to facilitate the consideration of applications from disabled persons.
2. Pupillages

Pupillages are offered to suitably qualified candidates selected without regard to a candidate’s race, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, citizenship, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, religion, political persuasion or age.
(b) Chambers is not part of OLPAS. Application for pupillage should be by letter of application and a current CV and should be addressed to Gwydion Hughes, Secretary to the Tenancy and Pupillage Committee, 9, Park Place, Cardiff CF10 3DP.
(c) Application should be received in Chambers by the 31st May of the year preceding the year in which pupillage is sought. All applications will be acknowledged in writing soon after the closing date for receipt of applications.
Successful candidates for pupillage will receive funding in the form of a non-refundable grant of £7,500 for the first six months of pupillage, paid in advance, and a guarantee of earnings in excess of £10,000 in their second six months of pupillage.
(d) Chambers may, in exceptional circumstances, offer a shorter period of pupillage to professional applicants seeking to convert to the Bar, or a third six month pupillage. These offers will be considered individually on their merits, will be unfunded, and will not be offered at the expense of standard twelve month pupillages.
