With an established family law practice, Sian specialises in care, ancillary relief and private law matters.
Respected for her ability to give realistic, pragmatic and reliable advice, Sian has handled many complex cases including adoption and special guardianship orders. In Re M-J (Adoption Order or Special Guardianship Order), one of three conjoined cases, she appeared on behalf of the local authority and the third respondent in the Court of Appeal when the court expounded the principles of special guardianship as opposed to family adoption.
In S v B & Newport City Council 2007, Sian appeared on behalf of the local authority in the Family Division where Hedley J. considered the principles of special guardianship in contrast to family adoption.
Sian was educated at Brynteg Comprehensive School, Bridgend before going on to study at the University of Wales, College of Cardiff and then Inns of Court School of Law.
