As a member of the Criminal Bar Association, Roger now specialises in murder, VAT and ‘carousel’ fraud, money laundering, people trafficking and drug importation and supply. He has a well-established practice in high-profile criminal cases that include representing the lead defendant in the multi-handed murder trial of R v Samrau & others at Cardiff Crown Court (2012), R v Chana and another at Nottingham Crown Court (2011) where his client was charged with gross negligence manslaughter, the 2010/11 R v Santokh Singh Nizzar trial at Northampton Crown Court involving economic exploitation by means of people trafficking and the 2009 murder trial of R v Declan Morrisey involving a Post Office murder and armed robbery.

Other notable cases include R v Owen Crookes, a planned gangland murder and R v Alden and Wright, one of a series of prosecutions arising from the Operation Goldfinch child abuse investigation. Roger has also handled cases featuring a vampire murder, ritual murder, kidnapping and multi-million pound money laundering scam.

Roger studied at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and has been a recorder on the Wales & Chester Circuit since 1987.
