Lisa is experienced in both family and civil law with the focus of her practice being matrimonial finance, private law Children Act cases, cohabitation disputes, and regulatory law. 

Family

Lisa is regularly instructed in matrimonial finance proceedings including cases involving complex business structures, substantial assets, and third party interveners. 

Lisa habitually represents parents and children’s guardians in private law Children Act cases and Family Law Act injunction proceedings.  She is accustomed to dealing with acrimonious disputes involving domestic violence and sexual abuse as well as both national and international relocation.

Lisa is also frequently instructed in cohabitation disputes under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act.

Regulatory

Lisa’s extensive experience of regulatory law includes regular instructions from the Education Workforce Council in their fitness to practice tribunals.

Lisa was educated at Corpus Christi High School and Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf and read English Literature at Jesus College, Cambridge University.  She converted to law and undertook the City LPC at BPP Law School in London. She trained and qualified as a Commercial Solicitor at Morgan Cole (now Blake Morgan) in Cardiff.  During her 7 years in that role Lisa gained experience in public and commercial law, acting regularly for the Welsh Assembly Government and Universities. 

Lisa is a fluent Welsh speaker who has extensive experience of undertaking advocacy, advisory work, and drafting in Welsh.
