Ian was called to the Bar in 1972 and then made a Q.C. in 1992. He now specialises in crime and personal injury work.

Ian’s crime practice is largely murder cases while his personal injury work usually involves sport and road traffic accident matters. Recent notable cases include R v Pope (2011) and R v Mouncher and Others, the ongoing trial of police officers accused of conspiring to prevent the course of justice in the murder case of Lynette White.

A member of the Criminal Bar Association, Ian was educated at St. Illtyd’s College, Cardiff before going on to study at the London School of Economics. He undertakes some conditional fee work.
