Hugh practised as a solicitor before transferring to the Bar in 1993.

He was the first Chief Crown Prosecutor for South Wales and Gwent and is now an experienced barrister specialising almost exclusively in defence advocacy.

With extensive experience in all categories of crime including rape, fraud and murder, Hugh has handled many high cost cases in the Crown Court.

Hugh is a member of the Criminal Bar Association.
