Land law including landlord and tenant and Lands Tribunal applications, wills, trusts, inheritance and family provision.


Common Law:

Law of contract, building and construction, negligence (including personal injuries) and all other torts other than defamation.


Crime:

Prosecutes and defends in high-profile fraud cases and other serious crimes.  He has experience of prosecutions in health and safety, food safety, Companies Act, Care Standards Act and pollution cases.

Clients include national and international businesses (he is presently involved in matters in Trinidad and Tobago and Jersey CI), central devolved and local governments, statutory authorities including police authorities, environmental authorities and planning authorities and private developers.

From 1998 to October 2003 Winston Roddick was Counsel General to the National Assembly for Wales.    As such he had responsibility for advising the Assembly on all legal matters including, in particular, public and constitutional law, employment and disciplinary tribunals, information law, including the Data Protection Act.   In recognition of his services to the Welsh Assembly, Winston Roddick was created a Companion of the Order of the Bath in 2000.  He is a fluent Welsh speaker and has conducted civil and criminal proceedings through the medium of the Welsh language.
