Gareth has an established Chancery practice and enjoys a reputation for an imaginative approach, assiduous research and persistence in seeking remedies on behalf of his clients. He has particular expertise in the areas of rights of way, restrictive covenants, adverse possession, boundary disputes, rectification, wills and probate and agricultural/rural property disputes.

Including contract, building and construction and commercial landlord and tenant (1954 Act) disputes.

Gareth’s significant cases include Marshall v Marshall (1998) CA (Beldam LJ) Ltl 81098 (a succession case involving a secret side agreement found contrary to public policy) and more recent cases involving adverse rights to land, rights of way, rectification (of both title to land and wills) and commercial/lease disputes.

The Legal 500 (2009) mentions Gareth under the heading of “Public Law and Planning” where he is described as continuing his “commended property work”
