Area of Practice :

Family Law:
Julian Reed handles all aspects of matrimonial work but has a particular interest in:

  • Ancillary relief (particularly businesses, farming disputes, companies and partnerships);
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975;
  • Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989;
  • Cohabitation disputes, in particular trusts. 


Personal Injury:
Julian deals mainly with claimant personal injuries, with particular emphasis on accidents at work.


Chancery & Commercial:
He handles wills, probate and trusts. The trusts, in particular, overlap with cohabitation disputes.

 
Employment:
Julian deals with all aspects of employment law for both applicants and respondents.
 
Regulatory work:
Julian handles care standards work. He has appeared in a number of cases in the Care Standards Tribunal concerning the provision of care in nursing homes and has acted for the defence in various care standards prosecutions.
