Chancery & Commercial:

Phillip is able to advise and to represent clients in aspects of chancery work, particularly matters concerning land law.

Common Law:

Phillip advises and appears in a wide range of litigation matters including personal injury and housing cases in the County Court and High Court jurisdictions.

Employment:

Phillip regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal, representing both applicants and respondents.

Regulatory:

Phillip has experience of regulatory work in the following fields:

  • Companies Acts – directors’ disqualification proceedings and associated matters
  • Environment – planning matters, enforcement notices and a significant village green inquiry, acting on behalf of local residents in Abertillery
  • Health & Safety/Trading Standards – numerous prosecutions for local authorities, particularly relating to the mis-selling of dangerous vehicles
Notable Cases :

Phillip recently appeared successfully for the prosecution in the high-profile case of R v Evans. This was the Crown Court trial of a female octogenarian accused of anti-social behaviour which attracted national media attention.
