About us

Welcome to 9 Park Place

No. 9 is proud of its sixty year history at the heart of the legal community in the capital city of Wales.

Our city-centre chambers, opposite the New Theatre in Park Place, is a listed building refurbished to the highest modern standards, accommodating some fifty barristers and a strong support staff.

We provide legal advice and advocacy across the common law spectrum with specialists in all areas including Administrative, Commercial, Employment, Family and Regulatory Law.

Our tradition of excellence over the years is recognised by regular appointments to the Bench. No. 9 is also at the forefront of life on the Wales and Chester Circuit.

Counsel from No.9 have been appointed to the National Assembly for Wales Commission Panel of Counsel.

We observe a policy of equal opportunities. All tenants, pupils, members of staff and mini-pupils are selected exclusively on merit and without reference to their race, gender, age, marital status, sexuality, religious or political beliefs, disability or background.

Chambers runs Pupillage and Mini-Pupillage Schemes and offers accredited CPD seminar programmes for legal practitioners in its large top-floor conference area.

The building has a lift and access for the disabled.

No. 9 is a 'Quality Mark' chambers.
